This Pavarotti & Bono version of Ave Maria was performed at Stellenbosch Gemeente during their Christmas service. Sorry Pavarotti & Bono, I think SG’s version was better! OK, probably because I was there to witness it live.

LOL! That comment surprises me not at all, coming from a big U2 fan. And yes, I completely agree. I expected a little more from Bono. I wonder if there’s a better recording of the same song?

my fav version is the one in shawshank redemption when Tim Robbins locks himself in the office and plays it on the intercom for everyone
